Checkball Mag is an online apparel store that was started in Philadelphia. The CEO, Littel Vaughn, founded Checkball Mag out of a love for basketball, sports, and sports apparel. Vaughn is passionate about creating functional and stylish workout clothes. At Checkball Mag, we believe that sports apparel should enhance your game, not hinder it. Frustrated with what was currently available, Vaughn set out to create a brand that put functionality first. Vaughn started by creating uniforms for local Philadelphia sports teams which quickly grew in popularity. Vaughn vigilantly keeps tabs on the sports world in order to bring you the latest fashion at affordable prices. At Checkball Mag, you’ll find comfortable, unique, and functional T-shirts, hoodies, hats, leggings, shorts, and more! Our love of sports drives us every day to bring you the highest quality sports clothes and are thankful for the opportunity to share our brand with you.

Currently, we only ship to the United States. We may expand internationally in the future if enough interest is expressed. Please note that we are not responsible for additional fees charged by the postal service and customs upon arrival.
At Checkball Mag, we process and package our orders quickly, so please try to contact us immediately in the event that you want to add additional items to your order. If the order is still in process, we can add the items to your order. If your order is already packaged for shipping, we are unable to add new items to that order and you
will have to place another order.

Shipping times will be dependent on where you are located. On average you will receive your order 3-5 days after you placed your order. If you have any questions about shipping, please contact us by filling out the contact forms on our website.
Not all gym clothes are created equally. At Checkball Mag, we put functionality first by designing comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely and focus on your workout. Let’s start by covering the worst material to work out in. 100% cotton may be comfortable to wear around the house, but if you’re wearing cotton while getting your sweat on, your shirt will soon start to show just how hard you’re working out. 100% cotton clothing absorbs moisture and will take longer than your workout to dry. However, cotton is superior to polyester in terms of keeping the stink away. Polyester is a hospitable environment for bacteria and if you don’t wash your polyester clothes right away, they may develop a distinctive smell that grows stronger with each workout. Luckily, there are many alternatives to cotton and polyester. Materials such as spandex, poly-dri, nylon, TENCEL, and moisture-wicking cotton (very different from 100% cotton in terms of performance). At Checkball Mag, we use a variety of high-quality materials for our sports apparel. Check the description of the product you’re interested in to see what type of material it’s made out of. Before we make any suggestions, it’s important that you consult with your doctor before beginning any workout regimen. With that being said, we’re proud of you for taking the first steps to becoming a healthier version of yourself. It’s never too late to fall in love with sports and exercise and hopefully, some of our suggestions will help you get started. In order to exercise regularly, you will want to find something that you enjoy. Working out doesn’t just mean hitting the gym or running at 5 A.M., as long as you are moving your body getting your heart rate up, you’re working out. When you are first starting to work out, try different activities until you find one you really enjoy. Some of us at Checkball Mag enjoy playing basketball, while others like to exercise by taking dance classes or going on a bike ride with their kids. A common misconception about losing weight is that you need cardio. Eating properly is 90% of the battle when it comes to weight loss, so focus on activities that you enjoy rather than ones you believe will help you lose weight. No! Contrary to popular belief, bodyweight workouts can build muscle. The cool thing about bodyweight exercises is that they utilize multiple muscle groups and burn tons of calories. For bodyweight workouts, we recommend circuit training. Circuit training is doing a set of exercises (typically 4-6) in succession without taking a break. To start circuit training, pick 4-6 exercises that target different muscle groups and complete the circuit at least three times. Aim to circuit train or strength train 2-3 times a week, but make sure not to train the same muscles on consecutive days. It’s also important to note that rest is just as important as working out and training! There are also many great circuit training videos on YouTube geared towards beginners that may be helpful. Remember to always stretch after you workout at home!
